The Founders conceived of a museum-like space to house their treasures. So, Vismaya was born. Vismaya is more than a museum. It is also a home, a research centre, and a celebration of community heritage. Among its many facilities, it includes a residence for invited scholars, a study library, a cafe, an indoor seminar room, and an outdoor amphitheatre. Vismaya's green design has been fully realized on a three-acre site in Zirad, Alibag. Here, open-plan galleries of art, light-filled courtyards, and garden vistas flow together to immerse visitors in the beauty and emotion of South Asia's many aesthetic and religious traditions.
